volleyball

Tailored to cater to athletes of various abilities, able volleyball emphasizes inclusivity and skill development in a supportive environment. Participants engage in physical fitness, teamwork, while building their foundational skills and self-confidence. Through this initiative, Able Athletics is not only promoting accessibility in sports but also fostering a community where every athlete, regardless of ability, can thrive and excel in volleyball.

Meet Alison

Introducing Alison Pepe, our Director of Able Athletics Volleyball Division. With an impressive 27 years of experience teaching middle school students, including 24 years at Somers Middle School, Alison is no stranger to the world of education. Her coaching journey has spanned from modified to varsity-level volleyball at various local high schools in Westchester, and she currently serves as the JV volleyball coach at Somers High School.

While Alison is relatively new to adaptive athletics, her enthusiasm knows no bounds. She's passionate about forging connections with young athletes through the sport she loves most—volleyball. Alison’s dedication to the program has grown as an early volunteer witnessing firsthand the profound impact it has on both athletes and volunteers.

Alison's commitment to Able Athletics is a testament to her belief in the power of sports to transform lives.
